Abstract:
To provide a stud tire capable of suppressing occurrence of stud defect that can be caused when lateral force acts on the stud tire, while suppressing deterioration in traveling performance on a frozen road, on a snow-covered road or on a wet road.SOLUTION: Holed locks 16h formed of at least portions of circumferential grooves 12 and arranged adjacently to the circumferential grooves 12 in an axial direction of a tire, are formed on a tread surface 10. The holed block 16h is provided with a hole 18 for fitting a stud pin. The circumferential groove 12 arranged adjacently to the holed block 16h has, at a lateral position of the hole 18 (a lateral position in the axial direction), a shallow groove portion 20 which has shallower groove depth than the other portions of the circumferential groove 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
