Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake system for an internal combustion engine that can easily secure rigidity even when a partition plate in an intake passage is formed to be long within an intake port and can generate tumbles of strong vortex flows.SOLUTION: In an intake system for an internal combustion engine, an intake passage (P) is partially partitioned into an upper intake passage (Up) and a lower intake passage (Lp) by a partition plate (60), and intake air flowing in the upper intake passage (Up) and the lower intake passage (Lp) is controlled by an intake director valve (65) installed upstream of the partition plate (60) on the downstream side of a throttle valve (22). The partition plate (60) comprises: an inlet pipe side partition plate (61) formed in an inlet pipe (20); and an intake port side partition plate (62) formed within an intake port (44). A downstream end (61b) of the inlet pipe side partition plate (61) and an upstream end (62a) of the intake port side partition plate (62) are connected to each other in a vertically overlapping state.
