Title:
EDDY CURRENT SPEED REDUCER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3216666
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To diminish dragging torque without lowering the brake ability at the time of braking, by weakening magnetic fields leaking from magnets to a brake drum through the mutual gaps between ferromagnetic substance at the time of nonbraking.
CONSTITUTION: A guide cylinder 10 having a box section made of a nonmagnetic substance is provided inside a brake drum 7 united to a rotation shaft. A large number of ferromagnetic board 15 are united to the peripheral wall of the guide cylinder 10 at equal intervals in the peripheral direction. Magnets 24 are united to a magnet supporting cylinder 14 supported in the inside hollow part of the guide cylinder 10 in a rotatable state, making them correspond to the ferromagnetic boards 15 one to one so that their polarities to the ferromagnetic boards 15 may differ alternately in the peripheral direction. And, magnetic pole materials 34 made of a ferromagnetic substance projecting toward the ferromagnetic boards 15 are lapped and united on the sides of both peripheral-direction ends of the external surface of each magnet 24.
