To provide a suspension mechanism for a 4-wheel wheelchair capable of securely bringing wheels into contact with a road surface.
A body of the wheelchair comprises a main frame 41 and subordinate frames 42L and 42R extending in the longitudinal direction on the left and right sides of the main frame 41. Front wheels are rotatably supported in the front of the subordinate frames 42L and 42R, and rear wheels are rotatably supported in the rear of the subordinate frames 42L and 42R. Suspensions 50L and 50R are respectively mounted between the front of the subordinate frames 42L and 42R and the main frame 41, and between the rear of the subordinate frames 42L and 42R and the main frame 41. The suspensions 50L and 50R have rods 51 and 52 respectively, whose proximal ends are rotatably attached to the main frame 41 and whose distal ends are rockably rotatably attached to the subordinate frames 42L and 42R. The subordinate frames 42L and 42R are swingably attached to the main frame 41.
