PURPOSE: To positively suck a workpiece to the center of a suction head

CONSTITUTION: A suction head with centering function is provided with a base block 1 fitted to the tip of a hand; a block 2 fitted to the base block 1 and having a sliding hole at the center and a tapered hole at the lower part tip inner part; a nozzle 3 having a vacuum hole at the center and a flat face at the tip and sliding in the hole of the block 2 and protruding from the tip of the block 2 at the time of being lowered; a driving source 4 for driving the nozzle 3 vertically; and a vibration generator 5 fitted to the base block 1. The nozzle 3 is lowered by the drive source 4 to suck an object workpiece. The nozzle 3 is then moved up by the drive source 4 while being vibrated by the vibration generator 5. At this time, the workpiece ascends while following the inner taper of the tip lower part of the block 2, so that the workpiece is positioned to the nozzle center.
