Abstract:
To provide a drive circuit for a switch capable of quickly determining that an overcurrent is flowing while preventing an erroneous determination that the overcurrent is flowing even when the turn-on speed of the switch varies.SOLUTION: A drive circuit Dr has a switch SW as a drive target, and includes a diode 40 and a capacitor 44. The drive circuit Dr starts supplying current from a constant current power supply 42 to the capacitor 44 at the timing when a filter time elapses from the start of charging a gate of the switch SW. The drive circuit Dr includes a drive control part 50 which determines that an overcurrent is flowing in the switch SW when a voltage Vdeast of the capacitor 44 with the switch SW in a turned-on state exceeds an overcurrent threshold value Vα. The drive control part 50 sets the filter time to be shorter when the turn-on speed is high than when the turn-on speed of the switch SW is low.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
