Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching element capable of safely releasing or short-circuiting an electric circuit against abnormality such as water leakage or liquid spill from a battery.SOLUTION: The switching element includes: first and second conductors 2 and 3 connected to an external circuit; and a reaction part 5 having an insulating material 4 which changes the state thereof when being brought into contact with a liquid. The insulating material 4 is brought into contact with a liquid intruding inside an element to cause a change in state, so that the first and second conductors 2 and 3 are electrically conducted or released.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
