Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switchable drive system.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a drive system (10) for a rotating device comprising an electric motor. A transmission system (12) comprises: a sleeve (20) arranged to be coupled to the rotating device; an annular chamber (28) defined in the sleeve (20) and opening to outside the sleeve (20) through a discharge port (32), the chamber (28) containing a fluid; and an element (34) for closing the discharge port capable of blocking a flow of fluid out of the chamber (28). The transmission system (12) comprises a switching device (36) adapted to switch the transmission system (12) from a clamping configuration to a release configuration when the internal temperature in the electric motor exceeds a predetermined threshold temperature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
