Abstract:
To improve estimation accuracy of temperature for a specific component constituting a transaxle when a vehicle system is started.SOLUTION: A controller for a vehicle works as a temperature estimation device which estimates temperature of a specific component constituting a transaxle. The controller has input variables which are inputted and stores mapping data which stipulate a mapping outputting the output variable indicating temperature of the specific component. The mapping includes as input variables: temperature of the specific component when the vehicle system stops; lapse time from the time when the vehicle system stops to the time when it starts next; and a work load variable which indicates work load of the vehicle for a fixed period before the vehicle system stops. The controller performs: acquisition processing which acquires the input variables; and calculation processing which outputs the output variables by inputting into the mapping the input variables acquired by the acquisition processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
