Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a connector in which a number of conductors for high frequency waves can be interconnected by inserting a conductor end part into a template to be fixed to a fitting surface by potting material, and forming a contact on a conductor end surface by electroplating or the like. CONSTITUTION: Each end part 44 is inserted into each conductor aperture 48. After all the conductors are inserted, liquid potting material 50 is supplied into gap in the aperture 48 and into a layer 46 in dielectric to be hardened. After it is hardened, the conductor is cut around a body 22 by a diamond cutter, and simultaneously, excesive potting material 50 is polished to be eliminated with protruded ends of the conductors, so it becomes roughly flat equal to the surface of the body 22. Finally, similar polishing to that of optical fiber end surfaces is performed for mutual connection. End surfaces of the terminated parts 44 of the conductors are exposed, and specified quantity of conductive material such as gold is put on the end surface to form a protruded part 42 by electroplating.
