Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount an almost cylindrical toner cartridge into the toner cartridge mount part of a developing device as required by moving the toner cartridge nearly in the direction of its diameter.
SOLUTION: A toner cartridge mount part has a bottom wall (54) with toner receiving openings (60) made in it, and a pair of support side walls (56 and 58) disposed at both ends of the bottom wall, and a locking means (78) is disposed on the inside of one of the support side walls 56 and 58. A toner cartridge incorporates a container whose peripheral wall has a toner discharge opening so sealed as to be opened freely, and toner stored in this container. On the outside of one of the side walls of the container, a means which is engaged with the locking means (78) is formed.
