Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire having a tread formed from a rubber composition which promotes a combination of a winter season traction at low temperature and wet traction.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire is a rubber composition which contains low surface area precipitated silica having a nitrogen surface area of 50-110/g and a silica coupling agent, and a traction promotion resin having a softening point of 110-170°C (at least one of styrene-alpha methylstyrene copolymer, terpene-phenolic resin, coumarone-indene resin, terpene polymer, rosin derivative and copolymer), and contains a conjugated diene elastomer containing cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber having Tg of -90 to -110°C and 95% or more of cis-1,4 content and a styrene-butadiene elastomer having Tg of -55 to -65°C, and rubber-reinforced carbon black.SELECTED DRAWING: None
