Title:
TONER FOR ELECTROSTATIC LATENT IMAGE DEVELOPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018120055
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic latent image development that is excellent in both heat-resistant storage property and low-temperature fixability, reduces attenuation of charge, and can maintain appropriate positive chargeability for a long period even when used for continuous printing.SOLUTION: A toner for electrostatic latent image development incudes a plurality of toner particles each including a toner core 11 containing a binder resin and a shell layer 12 covering a surface of the toner core 11. The shell layer 12 contains resin including a repeating unit having a thiophene group which may have a substituent on a terminal. The density of the thiophene group that is measured by time-of-flight secondary ion mass analysis, the density of the thiophene group in an area from a surface F2 of the shell layer 12 to a depth of 1nm in the toner particle is 0.1 mmol/g or more and 3.5 mmol/g or less. The amount of the thiophene group contained in 1 g of the toner measured by gas chromatography mass analysis is 1 μmol or more and 40 μmol or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
