Abstract:
A GPS positioning transceiver (300) comprises a receiver (302) for communicating with satellites and providing location data identifying locations of motor vehicles to a wireless tariff transceiver (304) including a data input (306) and a location data transmitter (308), transmitting packets to the traffic control server including a transceiver identification code and its location. A receiver (310) receives data identifying the road tariff for display on an output (312). Independent claims are included for a method for influencing vehicular traffic and for a traffic control server.
