Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a fatigue life of a welded structure.SOLUTION: The ultrasonic impact treatment method, in which ultrasonic impact is imparted to a welded tip part of a steel structure having a welded part by contacting a pin with the welded tip part so as to improve fatigue strength of the welded tip part, has: a step for performing first ultrasonic impact treatment using a first pin having a first radius of curvature equal to a radius of curvature of the welded tip part or less; and performing second ultrasonic impact treatment using a second pin having a second radius of curvature equal to 1.0 mm or more after the first ultrasonic impact treatment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
