Abstract:
To provide an ultrasonic transducer capable of improving reception sensitivity.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic transducer includes: a substrate 10; a piezoelectric layer 12 provided on the substrate and having a first main surface located on the substrate side, and a second main surface; a first transmitting electrode 14a provided on the first main surface and a second transmitting electrode 14b provided on the second main surface, sandwiching the center portion of the piezoelectric layer; a first receiving electrode 16a and a second receiving electrode 16b provided on the second main surface of the piezoelectric layer, adjacent to each other and spaced apart from each other, surrounding the second transmitting electrode; a transmitting unit 24 that transmits ultrasonic waves by applying an alternating current voltage between the first transmitting electrode and the second transmitting electrode; and a detection unit 22 that detects ultrasonic waves by an alternating current voltage generated between the first receiving electrode and the second receiving electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
