Abstract:
Provided is a flap-gate type breakwater 1 including: a door body 10 that is provided in water and that rises, from a lying state, by pivoting about a pivot shaft 11, which is located at a base end, due to buoyancy; an accommodating part 20 that is provided below the door body 10 in the lying state and that accommodates the door body 10; and a water supply mechanism 40 that has a water storage chamber 41 and that supplies water in the water storage chamber 41 to an interior space 24 of the accommodating part 20 when the door body 10 starts to rise.
