Abstract:
To provide a vacuum furnace capable of heat treatment in which an amount of dissolved gas is increased in cooling oil.SOLUTION: A vacuum furnace includes a heating chamber for heating a workpiece, a quenching chamber having an oil tank for storing cooling oil in which dissolved air is reduced in advance and cooling the workpiece heated in the heating chamber by immersing it in the cooling oil, and feeding means for feeding inert gas to be dissolved in the cooling oil to the cooling oil while the workpiece is housed in the heating chamber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
