Abstract:
A vacuum suction wheel that can stably discharge sheets in the discharge unit of a sheet-fed printer is provided. This vacuum suction wheel is provided with a suction inner tube the axial direction of which is perpendicular to the direction of conveyance of sheets in the discharge unit of the sheet-fed printer, and the internal space of which can be brought to a negative pressure, and a suction outer tube 32 which is positioned radially outside of the suction inner tube and which rotates in the circumferential direction with respect to the suction inner tube, wherein on the outer periphery of the suction outer tube 32, multiple flat surface parts 321…321 are provided intermittently in the circumferential direction; each flat surface part 321 has a flat surface 3211 formed to be smaller in the radial dimension than the area surrounded on both sides in the circumferential direction by the flat surface parts; each flat surface part 321 has multiple suction holes 323… 323 that open without contacting the circumferential-direction edge of the flat surface 3211 and that can communicate with the internal space of the suction inner tube.
