Abstract:
To prevent a fall of a valve stem seal.SOLUTION: A valve stem seal 101 attached to a valve guide 33 at a valve drive mechanism side comprises a metal ring 111 in which an outer cylinder 112 for covering an external peripheral face of the valve guide 33 and an inner cylinder 113 directly and tightly adhering to an internal peripheral face of the outer cylinder are integrally connected to each other. An elastic body 131 which tightly adheres to the external peripheral face of the valve guide 33 sandwiched between the outer cylinder 112 and the inner cylinder 113 is made to tightly adhere to the internal peripheral face of the outer cylinder 112, and a seal lip 141 tightly adhering to a valve stem 54 penetrating the valve guide 33 is made to tightly adhere to a connecting part 114 between the outer cylinder 112 and the inner cylinder 113. A fitting part 115, for example, a protrusion fit to a groove (fitting groove 37) which is formed along a peripheral face of an internal peripheral face of the valve guide 33 is formed at an external peripheral face of the inner cylinder 113, thus enabling the irregular fitment of the valve stem seal 101 and the inner cylinder 113.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
