Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve smooth converging to a main line.SOLUTION: A vehicle control system comprises: an acquisition part for acquiring a vehicle travel state of a vehicle which travels on a main line to which an own vehicle is going to converge from a branch line; a converging control part for, based on the travel state acquired by the acquisition part, and a motion model of the own vehicle which can be predicted, determining a converging target position which the own vehicle converges the main line, as a relative position to the vehicle which travels on the main line; and a travel control part for controlling automatically, at least acceleration/deceleration of the own vehicle, so that the own vehicle travels to the converging target position determined by the converging control part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
