Abstract:
To provide a vehicle control device which can prevent travelling from becoming unstable when improper operation of a shift lever is caused during travelling.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device 100 comprises a travelling control part 10 that executes normal control having: target torque calculation processing including processing for calculating magnitude of target torque and processing for calculating a direction of the target torque utilizing detected results by range sensors 61 and 62; and notification processing for notifying an electric power generator control device 41 of the magnitude and the direction of the target torque calculated by the target torque calculation processing. If vehicle speed is equal to or more than a first threshold vehicle speed and the detected results by the range sensors show a shift range indicating a travelling direction opposite to a current travelling direction, the travelling control part sets torque with a magnitude of a prescribed value or less and in a direction as the current travelling direction, as the target torque, regardless of the magnitude and the direction of the target torque calculated by the target torque calculation processing, and notifies the electric power generator control device of the torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
