Abstract:
To appropriately hold a vehicle stop state by a brake hold function.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device provided with a brake hold function to hold a vehicle stop state comprises: a parking lock mechanism 30 which is controlled to be switched between a lock state preventing a power transmission passage 24 connected to a wheel 23 from being rotated and a release state allowing the transmission passage 24 to be rotated; and a parking lock control section which controls the parking lock mechanism 30 so as to put the same into the lock state when a driver selects a parking range through selection operation. The parking lock control section also controls the parking lock mechanism 30 so as to put the same into the lock state when a travel range is selected by the driver through the selection operation and a vehicle held in the vehicle stop state starts to move without the driver's start operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
