Abstract:
To provide a vehicle control device which improves comfort of an occupant by suppressing noise during traveling in a vehicle which is capable of changing travel modes.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device comprises: a hybrid control unit 20 which switches a travel mode of a vehicle 1, on the basis of a vehicle speed and a driving torque of the vehicle 1, to any of an EV mode in which an engine 2 is stopped and front wheels 3 and rear wheels 5 are driven to travel by supplying power from a drive battery 11 to a front motor 4 and a rear motor 6, and a serial mode as well as a parallel mode, in which the engine 2 is operated and the front wheels 3 and the rear wheels 5 are driven to travel; and a roof state detection switch 51 which detects an opened/closed state of a cabin of the vehicle 1. When the cabin is in an opened state, the hybrid control unit 20 changes a threshold value Va of the vehicle speed and a threshold value Tb of the driving torque for switching between the EV mode, the series mode or the parallel mode so that there is more chance that the EV mode gets selected than when the cabin is in a closed state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
