Abstract:
To provide a vehicle control device capable of reporting an action scheduled for a vehicle to a driver such that the report from the vehicle can be easily recognized even when the vehicle is automatically controlled.SOLUTION: A vehicle control device includes: a determination section 37 which, on the basis of vehicle state information including travel state information or surrounding environment information on a vehicle 10 automatically controlled, determines whether the action of the vehicle 10 to be reported to a driver is scheduled; and a report section 38 which, when it is determined that the action of the vehicle 10 to be reported to the driver is scheduled, on the basis of the action scheduled for the vehicle 10, moves an operation section 7 exerting an effect on the behavior of the vehicle 10 through the diver's operation, in a state of being separated from the behavior of the vehicle 10 by using an operation control section 36 for controlling the operation section 7, and which thereby reports the action scheduled for the vehicle 10 to the driver. In the report section 38, the movement of the operation section 7 includes at least one of the movement of a steering 71, the movement of an accelerator pedal 72, the movement of a brake pedal 73, and the movement of a shift knob 74.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
