Abstract:
To allow the closing operation of a grille shutter basically at a low vehicle speed while preventing the event that water in a water pool accidentally enters into an intake port for intake air.SOLUTION: In front of an engine 1, a radiator 40, and a grille shutter 60 are provided. The grille shutter 60 is basically subjected to closing operation even at a low vehicle speed for reducing travelling resistance. When the low vehicle speed is produced by deceleration, the grille shutter 60 is subjected to opening operation in consideration of possible preparation operation for moving into the water pool. With the opening operation of the grille shutter 60, water splashed at the time of moving into the water pool or travelling in the water pool passes through the grille shutter 60 and escapes backward to prevent the event that the water is splashed up to an extremely high place and then prevent the event that the water enters into an intake port 9 of intake air.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
