Abstract:
To provide a vehicular engine capable of securing mounting rigidity of an EGR valve without increasing weight of the engine even when the EGR valve is disposed at a position separated from a side surface of a cylinder head.SOLUTION: An EGR passage part 62 includes: an upstream side EGR passage part 63 connected to a lower surface of a cooling water passage part 61 and forming an EGR passage 62A to extend to a direction intersecting with the cooling water passage part 61; and a downstream side EGR passage part 64 connected to a side surface of the cooling water passage part 61 and forming the EGR passage to extend to an upper direction intersecting with the cooling water passage part 61. In an EGR valve mounting flange part 65, an end part of a mounting surface to which an EGR valve 47 is mounted extends to a position above the cooling water passage part 61. A housing 60 includes a rib 66 vertically extending on a flat surface intersecting with the cooling water passage part 61 and connecting the EGR valve mounting flange part 65 with an upper surface of the cooling water passage part 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
