Abstract:
To efficiently cool a transmission 6 and a catalyst device 9 with travel wind of a vehicle in a case in which the catalyst device is disposed at the side of a longitudinally mounted engine 4.SOLUTION: In a vehicle front part structure, an engine 4 and a catalyst device 9 are arranged in a vehicle width direction and a width of the catalyst device 9 is narrower than a width of the engine 4. The vehicle front part structure includes a heat shielding insulator 32 disposed so as to form a vertical wall between the engine 4 and the catalyst device 9. The insulator 32 extends in a vehicle fore and aft direction along a side surface of the catalyst device between the engine 4 and the catalyst device 9. At least a part of a front end of the insulator 32 faces the vehicle front from between the engine 4 and the catalyst device 9 so as to face a travel wind introduction port on a front surface of an engine room.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
