To selectively function an area in which light amount detection means in a vehicle mirror is buried as a mirror area.SOLUTION: A vehicle mirror comprises: a liquid crystal layer in which an orientation direction of liquid crystal molecules is changed in accordance with an applied electric voltage; a first electrode layer disposed at an incident side of outside light in the liquid crystal layer; a second electrode layer opposed to the first electrode layer via the liquid crystal layer; a front polarization layer disposed at the incident side of outside light from the first electrode layer; a polarization layer disposed at the rear side of the second electrode layer in the incident direction of outside light, and forming a reflection plane; light amount detection means disposed at the rear side of the polarization layer in the incident direction of outside light, and generating an electrical signal in accordance with the amount of incident light; and a control part for controlling an electric voltage to be applied to the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer. At least one of the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer can individually apply an electric voltage to a first electrode section overlapped on the light amount detection means viewed in a direction perpendicular to the reflection plane, and the other second electrode section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
