To provide a vehicle rear part structure which can properly prevent a rear door from being improperly opened due to input of a collision load to a roof side rail part when the rear collision of a vehicle occurs while suppressing malfunctions such as increase in the weight and increase in a manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a vehicle rear part structure A in which a window part 4 is provided in adjacent arrangement via a rear pillar part 7 on an upper part on the vehicle rear side of a door opening part 3 that is opened/closed by a rear door in a side body panel part B, and a junction J between a front side member 2A and a rear side member 2B of the roof side rail part 5 is located on the upper side of the window part 4. A rigidity break point 8 that becomes a starting point of bending deformation of the roof side rail part 5 when there is prescribed or more load input from the vehicle rear side to the roof side rail part 5 is provided at a position on the vehicle front side with respect to the junction J of the roof side rail part 5 and within a range R to a rear end Pa of a parting line La of the rear door from a rear end Pb of the inner edge of the door opening part 3 in the vehicle cross direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
