To appropriately execute vehicle attitude control while ensuring combustion stability during the execution of compression ignition combustion in which the air-fuel ratio of an air-fuel mixture is set to a lean side.SOLUTION: A vehicle system includes an engine 1, a motor-generator 114, and a controller 60. The engine 1 has a combustion mode in which part of an air-fuel mixture is combusted by spark ignition, and then the remaining air-fuel mixture is combusted by self-ignition. When a steering 105 is operated to be sharply turned, the controller 60 sets additional acceleration on the basis of a steering angle. When the engine 1 performs the combustion mode, the controller sets the air-fuel ratio of the air-fuel mixture to either one of a first air-fuel ratio and a lean-side second air-fuel ratio on the basis of the operational state of the engine 1. In the setting of the first air-fuel ratio, the controller controls an ignition timing so that the additional acceleration is generated. On the other hand, in the setting of the second air-fuel ratio, the controller controls a torque assist by the motor-generator 114 so that the additional acceleration is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
