To provide a vehicle turnable like a wheel chair, and capable of running at low speed in a place such as on a walkway or in a building, and running at slightly high speed on an ordinary road for a long distance.
The vehicle has right and left turning wheels WHfl, WHfr to be independently turned, and right and left driving wheels WHrl, WHrr to be independently driven. The right and left driving wheels WHrl, WHrr are connected to a vehicle body BD by a link mechanism, and changed into a long elongated state between the right and left turning wheels WHfl, WHfr and the right and left driving wheels WHrl, WHrr, and a short contracted state between the right and left turning wheels WHfl, WHfr and the right and left driving wheels WHrl, WHrr. In the elongated state, the angle of inclination of the vehicle body BD with respect to a road surface becomes small, and the driving is controlled like an ordinary vehicle by the operation in the longitudinal direction and in the right-to-left direction of a joystick 13. In the contracted state, the angle of inclination of the vehicle body BD with respect to the road surface becomes large, and the small-turn low-speed driving is controlled by the operation in the longitudinal direction and in the right-to-left direction of the joystick 13.
