Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse and reduction gear which can be steplessly decelerated.SOLUTION: A reverse and reduction gear 11 changes power of a main engine (engine) 10 mounted on a hull into forward, neutral or reverse output and transmits the same to a propeller 5 via an output shaft 15. The reverse and reduction gear 11 comprises a driving source 16 separately from the main engine 10, and a planetary gear mechanism 20 which synthesizes rotational powers of the main engine 10 and the driving source 16 and outputs the same to the output shaft. A rotation direction of the driving source 16 is reversible and a rotational speed of the driving source 16 is variable, and therefore, the reverse and reduction gear 11 enables forward and reverse rotation of the output shaft 15 and enables stepless acceleration/deceleration thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
