Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a visible light communication device that is able to restrain the waveform distortion of output current to a light source using a solid light-emitting element.SOLUTION: A visible light communication device 10 comprises a light source 3 including a solid light-emitting element 15, a lighting device 1, and a modulation device 17. The lighting device 1 includes a first switching element Q1 and a first control circuit 2, and the first control circuit 2 includes a detection resistor R1, a feedback circuit 4, and a switching control unit 22. The modulation device 17 includes: a load variation unit 23; a second switching element Q2 for switching whether the load variation unit 23 is added to the light source 3 or not; and a second control circuit 14. The second control circuit 14 controls the first control circuit 2 to lower the output level of a feedback signal from the feedback circuit 4 when amplitude modulated output current I1 becomes smaller at the start part of the frame structure of a visible light communication signal.
