Abstract:
To provide a walking assist device that can perform a movement matched with a difference in a walking motion of a user.SOLUTION: A walking assist device includes: a support member 2 attached to the thigh of a user; a lower thigh member 3 connected to the support member 2 so as to be rotatable in a bending direction and an extending direction; a hydraulic cylinder 7 provided between the support member 2 and the lower thigh member 3, which contracts when the lower thigh member 3 rotates in the bending direction with respect to the support member 2; and a switch valve 110 having a first housing 111 and a spool 121 moving in an inner periphery of the first housing 111 for switching the flow of working fluid of the hydraulic cylinder 7 according to a position of the spool 121 with respect to the first housing 111. The switch valve 110 has a blocking position 110a for blocking the flow of the working fluid when the hydraulic cylinder 7 is to contract, and throttle positions 110b, 110c, and 110d for throttling the flow rate of the working fluid when the hydraulic cylinder 7 contracts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
