Abstract:
To prevent liquid in a liquid container from leaking outside through a discharge pipe when overturned in a water heater where the discharge pipe extends from a lower part of the liquid container.SOLUTION: A water heater 100 according to the present invention includes: a liquid container 320; a housing body 310 housing the liquid container; a heating part 341 heating the liquid container; a discharge pipe 440 forming a discharge route A that goes through the housing body from a lower part of the liquid container, extends outside of the housing body and communicates with an internal space of the liquid container; and a grip part 401 fitted to the housing body. The heater is further provided with: an operation unit 420 disposed on the grip part; and an on-off valve 470 which is provided for the discharge pipe, is in a closed state closing the discharge route when the operation unit is not operated, and is in an open state opening the discharge route when the operation unit is operated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
