Abstract:
To provide a flexible spline as a component of a wave gear device having a sufficient flexibility durable against high frequency cycle deformation and simultaneously having a sufficient strength adapted for a load to which the wave gear device is exposed.SOLUTION: A bulk metallic glass system wave gear device and a wave gear device component are realized by a system and a method of the preferred embodiment of this invention. In one preferred embodiment, the wave gear device comprises a wave generator, a flexible spline having a first gear set as it is and a circular spline having a second gear set as it is. At least one of the wave generator, the flexible spline and the circular spline includes a bulk metal glass system material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
