Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength conversion element capable of reducing a temperature rise of a phosphor layer, and a light source unit and a projector.SOLUTION: A wavelength conversion element comprises: a wavelength conversion layer comprising a long wavelength phosphor layer and a short wavelength phosphor layer emitting light having a wavelength shorter than that of the long wavelength phosphor layer; and a substrate having a supporting surface supporting the wavelength conversion layer. In the wavelength conversion element, the short wavelength phosphor layer is provided at an opposite side to a substrate of the long wavelength phosphor layer, and the long wavelength phosphor layer is provided outside the short wavelength phosphor layer when being viewed in a direction of a surface normal of the supporting surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
