Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which, after leaching gold from a sulfide mineral, can suppress temporal decrease in gold concentration in a liquid after leaching.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for leaching gold contained in a sulfide mineral or a leaching residue (hereinafter, referred to as a "raw material" including the sulfide mineral) after subjecting the sulfide mineral to a leaching treatment. The method includes a step of contacting an acidic aqueous solution containing chloride ions, bromide ions, copper ions, and iron ions with the raw material while supplying an oxidant and leaching a gold component in the raw material. A bromide ion concentration in the acidic aqueous solution after leaching gold is maintained at 40 g/L or more and 200 g/L or less and an oxidation-reduction potential thereof is maintained at 500 mV (vs. Ag/AgCl) or more.
