Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire wear prediction method by which an increase in workload can be suppressed.SOLUTION: The tire wear prediction method comprises a step of creating, for the ground contact face of a tire, an approximation model including a ground contact area defined by a designated prescribed shape; a step of setting a first approximate function regarding the shear stress of the slip area of the ground contact face; a step of setting a second approximate function regarding the slip quantity of the slip area of the ground contact face; a step of obtaining the average shear stress of the slip area on the basis of the first approximate function; a step of obtaining the slip quantity of the slip area on the basis of the second approximate function; a step of obtaining the frictional energy on the ground contact face on the basis of the average shear stress and the slip quantity; and a step of predicting the wear of the tire on the basis of the obtained frictional energy.
