Abstract:
To provide a web joining device which facilitates a work of pulling out a web from an original fabric roll.SOLUTION: A web joining device includes a first bonding roll 1 and a second bonding roll 2 provided in the middle of a traveling route of an old web W1 drawn out from one original fabric roll T1 of an unwinding device T, a cutting blade 6 provided in the preceding stage of the traveling route of the first bonding roll 1, and operating devices 8 and 10 for moving the first bonding roll 1 and the second bonding roll 2 toward and away from each other. In the web joining device joining a cut end of a cut old web W1 and a leading end of a new web W2 cut by the cutting blade 6 via joining tapes V1 and V2 by the rotation of the first bonding roll 1 and the second bonding roll 2, the second bonding roll 2 is assumed to have the same diameter as the first bonding roll 1 or a smaller diameter than the first bonding roll 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
