Abstract:
To reduce manufacturing costs while securing the accuracy required for a main gear with respect to a yoke assembly constituted by integrally forming the main gear of a steering angle detector to a yoke assembly that is a component of a torque detector and a manufacturing method for the yoke assembly.SOLUTION: A yoke assembly 1 comprises yoke rings 2, 3, two pieces constituting one set, a metal collar 4 into which a shaft for detecting rotation toque is press-fitted, and a plastic holding cylinder 5. The holding cylinder 5 integrally holds the yoke rings 2, 3 and the collar 4, as well as includes a main gear 7 of a steering angle detector. The yoke rings 2, 3 are located between the collar 4 and the main gear 7 in the axial direction. The collar 4 has no recesses used for positioning in the circumferential direction. On the inner diameter side of the holding cylinder 5 are provided, adjacent to the collar 4, a pair of groove forming projections 8, 8 at equally divided two points in the circumferential direction, the pair of groove forming projections 8, 8 forming a groove C which a projection of a jig used for circumferential positioning with the shaft fits in.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
