Abstract:
1H-Imidazopyridine derivatives of the general formula (1) or salts thereof, useful in the prevention and/or treatment of cytokine-mediated diseases: (1) wherein R?1¿ is hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, or aryl; R?2¿ is hydrogen or lower alkyl; R?3¿ is a saturated nitrogenous heterocyclic group; m is an integer of 0 to 3; and A is a ring represented by the general formula (2) or (3): (2) or (3) (wherein X is sulfur or CH=CH; and R?4¿, R?5¿, R?6¿ and R?7¿ are each independently hydrogen, halogeno, alkyl, alkoxy, amino, alkanesulfonyl, or arylsulfonyl, with the proviso that when X is CH=CH, R?4¿ is hydrogen and R?5 ¿is a group exclusive of hydrogen).
