Abstract:
Provided are 2-fluoro-1,3-benzodithiol 1,1,3,3-tetraoxide derivatives which serve as monofluoromethylating agents useful a intermediates in the synthesis of drugs or agricultural chemicals; a process for the preparation of the derivatives; and a process for the preparation of monofluoromethyl-containing compounds using the derivatives.
2-Fluoro-1,3-benzodithiol 1,1,3,3-tetraoxide derivatives represented by general formula (1) [wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a linear or branched C1-4 alkyl group, a linear or branched C1-4 alkyloxy group, a halogen atom, a nitro group, or a cyano group]; a process for the preparation of the same; and a process for the preparation of various monofluoromethyl-containing compounds using the same as the monofluoromethylating agent.
