Abstract:

2,4-Disubstituted pyrimidine derivatives represented by general formula (I) or physiologically acceptable acid-addition salts thereof, wherein X represents -O- or -NR�4?-; R�1? represents H, lower alkyl, etc.; R�2? represents lower alkyl, lower alkenyl, etc.; R�3? represents H, lower alkyl, etc.; R�4? represents H or lower alkyl; R�5? represents H, lower alkyl, etc. or halogeno, hydroxy(lower)alkyl, lower alkoxy(lower)alkyl, etc.; R�6? represents H, lower alkyl, etc. or hydroxy(lower)alkyl, lower alkoxy(lower)alkyl, etc., or R�5? and R�6? may form together -(CH�2?)�n?- (wherein n is 3 to 6); and A represents optionally substituted heteroaryl or optionally substituted phenyl. These compounds are expected to be useful as remedies and preventives for central diseases, for example, diseases associated with anxiety, such as neurosis and psychosomatic disorder, depression and epilepsy; circulatory diseases such as angina pectoris and hypertension; immunologic nervous diseases such as multiple sclerosis; or immunologic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatism.
