Abstract:
The present application relates to a novel pentadieonyl compound and a pharmaceutical composition comprising same. Functioning to restrain intracellular adipogenesis and fat accumulation within cells and to activate fat metabolism, the pentadieonyl compound of the present application can be used for prevention or treatment of fatty liver and diseases associated with fatty liver. In addition, the pentadieonyl compound of the present application upregulates the expression of SIRT1 or increases the activity of SIRT1 within cells and thus can be used for prevention or treatment of diseases associated with SIRT1. Furthermore, the pentadieonyl compound of the present application downregulates the expression of CK2 or decreases the activity of CK2 within cells and thus can be used for prevention or treatment of diseases associated with CK2.
