Abstract:
Disclosed are a 3-wavelength-use light source device which changes the polarization direction of light of at least one wavelength among at least three lights of different wavelengths to match the optical axis of light of at least one wavelength, a 3-wavelength-use light receiving device, and an optical head device using the same. In a 3-wavelength-use light source device (10) provided with a light source (20) for emitting light of three wavelengths such that the position of the light-emitting point differs for each, and an optical axis correction element (30), the optical axis correction element (30), by way of convex portions and concave portions disposed so as to fill grooves of the convex portions, has a cross-section of concave and convex shape, wherein a first material constituting the convex portions and a second material constituting the concave portions have, among light of the three wavelengths, refractive indices that generally match in light of one or two wavelengths and a refractive index that differs in light of the remaining wavelength. The optical axis correction element (30), when light of the wavelength having a different refractive index is incident thereupon, creates an optical effect of diffraction in which the light is polarized and emitted so as to cause the light to match with an optical axis of the other wavelengths.
