Abstract:
A 3D display device and a displaying method thereof. The method comprises: for any combined pixels, when a 3D display device is switched to a 2D displaying mode, during a first driving period, a first driving signal drives a first row of pixels while a second driving signal drives a second row of pixels, and a data transmission unit transmits first image data to pixels units of the first row of pixels and the second row of pixels; during a second driving period, a third driving signal S3 drives a third row of pixels, a fourth driving signal S4 drives a fourth row of pixels, and the data transmission unit transmits second image data to the third row of pixels and the fourth row of pixels. By this method, during switch from a 3D displaying mode to a 2D displaying mode, in each driving period, image data input to pixel units is displayed and then separately enters ranges of angles of view of left and right eyes, and therefore, the image content the left and right eyes see is consistent with the input image data and is not halved compared with that in the 3D displaying mode, thereby achieving lossless visual resolution during switch from the 3D displaying mode to the 2D displaying mode.
