Abstract:
Provided are a 3D display transparent screen and a 3D display system which are excellent in transparency and viewing angle. The present invention includes a plurality of dots having wavelength selectability. The dots are made of a liquid crystal material having a cholesteric structure. The cholesteric structure provides a striped pattern formed of bright parts and dark parts to the dots in the sectional view thereof observed by a scanning electron microscope. The dots include a portion having a height continuously increasing to the maximum height in a direction from the edge to the center of the dots. At the portion, the angle formed between the surface of each dot and the normal line to a line connecting the first dark part and the surface of the dot opposite to a substrate is within the range of 70°-90°. The plurality of dots reflect right circularly polarized light and left circularly polarized light.
