Abstract:
The invention discloses a 3D printing spherical powder preparation method utilizing plasma, the method comprising: employing a metal powder, a pre-alloyed powder, or a ceramic powder as raw materials; feeding the raw material powders into a high-temperature plasma flame; melting the powders to provide liquid drops to form spheres by the effect of surface tension; cooling the same to obtain a 3D printing powder. The plasma flame has a temperature of 10000-30000°C, and power of 15-100 kW. The method is implemented without employing a plurality of processes in a conventional gas spray method, and is simple in process and high in efficiency, and produces no dust pollution. The powder prepared by the method has a spherical surface and favorable fluidity, and is low in cost.
